A safe deposit box for temporary storage of cash or valuable documents is a safe deposit box. It is often installed at gas stations, exchange offices, pawn shops, 24-hour shops or entertaining establishments such as clubs and bars, i.e. in places where cash is received.

By its design, a safe deposit box can be equipped with a turntable for receiving inside securities or an oblong narrow hole above the main safe door. At the same time, access to the internal contents of the safe is possible only for a strictly defined circle of persons (collector, administrator), which creates additional protection against unauthorized entry in case of an external threat to the cashier (attempted robbery). For additional fixing of the safe, it is possible to anchor to the floor or wall.
